The Yemi Getachew Foundation is dedicated to preserving and advancing Yemi's humanitarian legacy.

The foundation has outlined three key areas of focus:

  • The primary emphasis is on providing assistance to cancer patients and their families, both within the United States and Ethiopia.

• Promoting Education:

  • The foundation is committed to supporting educational initiatives in both the US and Ethiopia. This includes the establishment of a scholarship fund and backing existing educational institutions, with a special emphasis on programs benefitting children.

• Advancing Equity in the Legal Profession:

  • Building on Yemi's dedication to equity, the foundation will concentrate on legal efforts, particularly in immigration reform. It aims to offer support to individuals in need of immigration assistance.
